Casa Vall Bona is named after the valley that offers the privileged views in front of the house, on the northern slope of the Serra de Mangrana, in the Terra Alta Region (capital Gandesa), with an altitude that easily exceeds 400 meters above sea level and the main feature of dominating the neighboring hills.
The presence of the Matarraña rivers and the confluence with the Ebro, in a land of dry land and austerity, has given these lands a special and unique character, straddling lands close to the sea, the Ports, the Maestrat and the central depression, in the Ebro river basin and close to the Riba-Roja reservoir. Here we find the only river port in the Terra Alta, where it is possible to practice all kinds of aquatic activities.
An area that allows you to enjoy the natural environment, the historical-cultural heritage, and above all the tranquility and tempos so characteristic of the area, which will allow you to enjoy an excellent experience, if you wish, in total relaxation and peace surrounded by grape crops, olive trees and almond trees, or doing sports in a unique environment.
We are Roser and Manel, and this house has been in the Viladiu i Orti family for more than thirty years . The year 2021, a strange year due to the circumstances, has been the moment in which we begin a new stage, converting it into rural accommodation, maintaining the family heritage and the culture and traditions of the region.
We rent the entire house for exclusive use and with all the amenities for a comfortable stay: full kitchen with dishwasher, heating, two bathrooms, up to 12 seats, solarium with barbecue, washing machine… and more features that you will undoubtedly like and satisfy your stay.
An ideal accommodation for two or three families or a group of friends who want to share a weekend or holiday period.
The house:
Traditional village house, renovated and adapted with all the needs and comforts, which offers up to 12 places: 3 bedrooms with double bed, 1 bedroom with double bed and 4 single beds (2 in bunk beds).
Full kitchen, dining room with fireplace, WI-FI, solarium with barbecue, 2 bathrooms with shower, washing machine… and the area with the most personality in the house: cellar in the basement with traditional trull.
It has parking that can be used for a vehicle, or better, for bicycles or a play area, and of course, to charge an electric car.
The privileged location within the region of La Terra Alta, in a natural environment with a PEIN (Plan of Areas of Natural Interest) qualification and an agricultural tradition with special mention of the OVE oil (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) and the DEO Terra Alta wine of high quality and based on the Garnatxa variety, offers an environment to discover and enjoy.
An environment that will allow us to enjoy sports and active tourism, cultural visits with special attention to the historical heritage linked to the “strip” (Templars, borders with Al-Andalus, character and austerity…), and more recently with the Battle of the Ebro and the civil war.
And taste wines and typical dishes from the region with local and high-quality products, with almonds as the star crop and their great aesthetics when they bloom.
The town has a public swimming pool, in an area close to the house, which becomes a plus for summer days.
